JChicken fillet pieces, chicken burgers and oven dishes. At our Retail department in Zeewolde, we process and pack fresh chicken products. We deliver these products to well-known supermarkets and meal delivery companies. We have 13 different production lines. You work with 4 to 8 colleagues on your line. You help each other and there is a good atmosphere. You keep an overview and are the first person your colleagues go to with questions. At Storteboom, we call this job Line Coordinator.
At the start of your shift, you check the planning. What will you make today? Are the right people and materials there? Is the machine set up correctly? After that, you make sure everything keeps running well.
You:
Things do not always go as planned. When that happens, you stay calm and positive. You look for a solution and keep your team motivated.
And yes, working with fresh chicken means working in a cold environment. The temperature is between 2 and 4°C. Good, warm work clothes help. You work different shifts: one week from about 06:15 to 14:30 and the next week from 14:30 to 00:00. You can also work on Saturdays. Sometimes you need to work a little longer to finish the production for that day. We work with fresh chicken, so it is important to finish the planned production.
A lot of responsibility and many chances to grow. For example, you can learn to work on different production lines or take the next step to Assistant Team Leader or Team Leader. You work 5 days a week in different shifts, including Saturday (evening).

A diploma is not everything. For us, it is more important that you take responsibility, keep an overview and work well with people. When it is busy or something goes wrong, you stay calm.
